Is there a God of charity shops?
I just found a copy of the complete Blackadder scripts in one volume, in a charity shop, for £2.49.

Pretty good considering I was going to go and hunt through Waterstones on friday, for whatever ones I could find!  Rar!

 :) :) :)

i love charity shops, especally for books. i nearly bought this book in waterstones for a long train journy for eight pounds, got longer book instead, then found the orginal book i wanted in a charity shop for one pound! (if i pay eight pounds for a book, i genrily want at least 300 pages. Salanger the only exeption.)
well done on your good find!

I bought rather a lot. Manage to resist some stuff, as I thought, more than one of the same blue candle light holder, probably wasn't good idea. Loads of book, Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell for £4.00! now I was in borders working when that came out. I did get a proof copy, but couldn't into it. Possibly due to the lack of blurb, which does my head in, especially if the book seems to be impenetrable! But in the shops, more than that price, and reading the back, it did look worth getting. As I can't remember if I stil ahve my copy. Plus a book of Regency age recipes, something similar, ghost stories, beautifully illustrated story tales and the illustrated book of B-movies horror!

I did well. :) Must not overspend now. :@

Big hugs. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
