| Bio: | Gothic Morris and Clog Dancer, into folk, rock, heavy metal, classical, gregorian chant and unaccompanied individual or more, singing. Nomadic feet and friends have led to Sheffield (via London, Newcastle and deepest darkest rural south-west Wales). Been playing the Fiddle for about twenty four years now. Yes, it's been that long! I play for Mr Fox, and Boggarts' Breakfast Border Morris Side. Self-teaching myself the melodeon (squeezebox - good for Morris dancing) and it's starting to sound good. I read Medieval Studies at Lampeter University in West Wales, and the folk club I co-founded is still running after ten years! When I swing by the old stomping grounds in the old smoke, I hang out at the Dev and Marlborough Head pubs, and with my friends in the Vampyre Connexion. I used to work for Treadwells antiquarian occult bookshop in Covent Garden where great knowledge is sought and found. I met the wonderful Zachary Cox and Jean M. Williams there - look out for his occasional talks. And the proprietor, Christina, of great stature who runs this unique place, which is reminiscent of a Edwardian drawing room/library. I work in the contexts of questioning, studying, learning and instinct, and I walk the paths of animism, elemental magic, tea leaf and candle divination, the old religion and an interesting cornucopia of responsive and thoughtful deities and Elements. I love my books: you can never have too many books in my opinion. I hunt down ones on Norse mythology and English folklore and tradition, old English folk songs and ones that inspire me by catching my eye. I'm also interested in Terry Pratchett, vampire live roleplaying or any other for that matter! Being with my dearest friends and meeting more lovely people through them. Having interesting, controversial and decent conversations in Camden Market, Covent Garden and places like Coffee, Cake and Kink. Accused of being a bohemian eccentric, and completely mad, you'll likely find me in coffee shops, folk sessions, harmonic gusty singarounds,folk festivals, and wherever good Morris dancers come together and clash sticks. | |||||
